Manuka Honey has a special anti-bacterial activity called Unique Manuka Factor (UMF). Laboratory research has shown that the UMF and hydrogen peroxide found in this honey kills bacteria and fungi found in wounds and stomach ulcers, and has been shown to be particularly effective in treating h. pylori bacteria.

The UMF (Unique Manuka Factor) rating links the anti-bacterial activity of UMF manuka honey with an equivalent concentration of phenol (common antiseptic). The higher the rating, the higher the anti-bacterial activity of the honey.

Active UMF Manuka honey can be taken by eating or application to the skin surface. You will find it has a wonderful taste all of its own and can be enjoyed the same as any other eating honey.

A 250g jar is approximately 8.8oz and contains 15-20 servings.
